Glad to find Y'all!  Moved down from Alaska, built a trendy small home and looking to be an Outlaw!  Very Interested in learning what I can grow here, and live more simply.  Just bought my Berkey, and love my Vitamix - I made my own non-GMO cornmeal.  I like to repurpose, as evidenced by pallet cabinets in my 2 room home.  My husband, Bob and I are both RNs, and enjoy outdoor activities.  Looking forward to having chickens and a few goats.  Currently looking at food preservation and emergency preparations.  I like to cook from scratch and not waste anything.

I am just a newbie, trying to learn. I am mainly growing for a friend as a needed med.

I am a self-employed registered nurse providing continuing education for health care providers, and  educational services/administrative support for providers that care for the developmentally disabled.  In my previous live I was a high school science teacher.  I have always had an interest in organic gardening even before it was the "in"  "green" thing to do. I am in the process of developing a self-sufficient lifestyle growing pesticide free, earth friendly food and was discussing some of the experiments and systems I am in the process of implementing, when a friend of mine told me about Cambridge Farms.  I currently have a flock of 25 chickens, 2 baby Nigerian Dwarf Goats, 3 cats and 1 dog.  It sounds as though my plans and the reality of Cambridge Farms came from the same blueprint.
